I’m so excited to share the story of my entry into the world of wedding photography! As anyone familiar with South Asian traditions knows, wedding season is one of the busiest, and brightest times of the year. Add on the excitement of the holiday season, and the opportunity to reunite with old friends- I was officially in paradise.
Rasika and Ashish's intimate engagement ceremony was the event every photographer dreams about. The crisp fall air, the perfectly lit backyard, pergola covered in flowers, and of course the most fun couple made for such a relaxed event where I was able to focus on creating art, not just clicking the camera as rituals were performed in front of me.
Like any first-time engagement photographer, I was nervous about the setup, the lighting, and of course whether or not I could do justice to the event and capture these memories for a lifetime. As soon as I got to the venue, I felt so at ease; Rasika's smile can light up any room, Ashish's excitement was almost tangible, and together they made the entire process from the pre-wedding shoot to the candid shots during the event so easy and natural.
